22nd Century provides enterprise-wide, carrier-grade connectivity and IT services across NAVAIR’s global operational footprint, supporting a dynamic environment that includes 1,500 total servers (80% virtualized) and 8,700 mobile devices. Our team engineers and sustains the mission-critical network infrastructure, including the majority of the outside cable plant, which is air-blown fiber infrastructure routed through Fiber Distribution Nodes (FDNs). We integrate resilient connectivity solutions such as Voice over IP (VOIP), Video over IP (VVOIP), and data telecommunications across CONUS facilities, including Patuxent River. Our team incorporates advanced transport methods, including Fixed 5G, to ensure a neutral and resilient backbone. Our team supports over 47 network appliances and 49 switches, providing technical design and integration support compliant with the DOD Unified Capabilities Plan and rigorous IA Management processes.
